Hello from Morgantown

Hi everybody,

I'm Christina, a new member. I'm a 27-year-old graduate student at West Virginia University in Morgantown, and am hoping to be done with my Master's degree in Biology this May. I grew up in Denver, CO, and moved out east about five years ago. I'm single (sorry, no SO yet!) and will probably be for several more years.

I started dressing when I was 13, although I've had transgender inclinations and leanings as long as I can remember. I started coming out in February of this year and am pretty much totally out now, including my family and the vast majority of my friends. For most of my time since dressing, I've identified as a crossdresser, but since coming out I've come to see I'm much more, and I now identify as transsexual. I'll probably transition in the next few years - right now all that really holds me back is lack of money :?. I'll try and post my story and pictures soon.

Hope to hear from people - I'm always interested in chatting!

Christina

Hi Christina! Lovely to see you here - and sorry we didn't get a chance to connect when you were out visiting family (but utterly understandable, that's always a tricky enough thing to negotiate on its own.)

I'm sure you'll find more than a few kindred spirits around here. They're certainly a warm, welcoming bunch who helped me feel right at home when I showed up. Do check out the chat room when you get a chance. It's hard to predict when people will be there, but the tradition of a Saturday evening chat is fairly well established.

True, Donna, but we rotate our meetings between Roanoke and Blacksburg, and our chapter serves the western Virginia, NE Tennessee, and West Virginia areas . . .

. . . besides, it's always worth the drive for all of our lovely ladies to get together each month!!

Hi Christina--
Welcome! It's great that you already know some of us "in the real."
But we online folk are OK, too.

Thanks for all the friendly replies =D> (and yes, Roanoke and Blacksburg are very far away - just remember that if I'm running late)
