Ok. Here I Am

I’m going to get this out before I decide against it. I’ve been cross dressing since I was 8 or 9. It gave me a deep feeling of comfort. I have always struggled deeply with the secret girl inside of me. I compensated by playing sports and working in professions with hyper masculine environments. This of course only added to my inner conflict. I have dressed and underdressed secretly my entire life. The single time I went all out and dressed fully with make up, wig and heels was a revelation. I was able to see the Me that has had to hide inside. Unfortunately, I was unable to reconcile the satisfaction with the accompanying shame and never tried it again. I’ve got a bit of life under my belt now and am much less scared of the fact that this is a real part of who I am. I remain closeted and can never reveal this side of me to my wife or friends, but I’m so tired of pushing it down and feeling shame. Im so glad to have a safe place to open up and reveal myself and not feel afraid or different. Thanks, you all are the only people I’ve ever shared this with in 40 years

Welcome to the forum. You are not alone in keeping "it" buried and hidden from those around you. I too only dress when alone and never venture out except for Halloween back in 2004. Oh I miss that night, so.
