Hi Kelly,

Oh boy, what a debate this could be, eh. Being a So-Cal native who revels in the outdoors it breaks my heart to see damage done by man. But, there are good and bad to some of it (not all). Nevertheless, I see and feel your point. My personal resolve is to keep my carbon/industrial footprint at a minimum.
Normal, just not average,

Pictures suggest part of a story, but rarely tell the whole story.

Kelley, Robyn, and DonnaT: I'm from Colorado, and that was definitely a reckless incident that I'm sure has more to the story. For the most part the gov. Has done an excellent job of preserving our major recreational parks. RMNP which has a high volume of tourists, and adventurers is closely monitored, and I wouldn't have any other way. Where can you drive, and be above timberline, step out of your car and experience a trail above the clouds! We still have many wilderness areas that cator to every kind of adventure too. Sometimes we hear of the crazy abuse happening out there, but for the most part with my experience being up there more people respect and follow the rules. I have to believe there's company's that follow the rules, but unfortunately there are some that don't, and their footprint is permanently damaging to the environment. We need the government, and we special interest groups working together to protect our mama, and her resources. I'm an avid outdoorsman/woman, and play in the mountains a great deal of my time. Well, that's my rant, and I'm sticking to it..., but always open to being educated.
