Move through your time
with modesty in all things
except art.
The art of making
good friends and family,
good food and drink,
and a pleasant house
to come home to
after doing honorable work.

Had this been an actual revolution
you would all be lying in a heap
at the base of the wall.
This is only a test.

This is a test.
Had you been doing purposeful work
instead of reacting to the work of others,
they would now be reacting to you.
This is only a test.

This is a test.
In the event of an honest personal evaluation
you would be several miles from here
naked and hiding, in the dark.
This is only a test.

This is a test.
Had this been a meaningful encounter
you would have changed,
and so would I.
But this is only a test.


I write love poetry too, but nothing so far about CD.
