Song in your head

Post by Diana Michelle »

Let's try something new here. What's the song stuck in your head right now. No right or wrong answers here just that earworm stuck with you at the moment. You can go into details why or just the song and the artist or even just the song itself.

Had the girls and the whole gang up here for the holiday weekend but everyone left to go home, well everyone but 2 of my granddaughters, Kenzie and Hannah. They are both 16 and literally born 3 weeks apart and the best of buddies. Watching them I can just hear Cindy Lauper singing "Girls Just Want to Have Fun."

Hadn't heard or even thought about this song in years but it came on the radio yesterday as I was on my way to the golf course and brought back a lot of memories both good and bad.

With everything going on in the world today this one came to mind today, Sky Pilot by Eric Burden and The Animals

He blesses the boys as they stand in line
The smell of gun grease and their bayonets they shine
He's there to help them all that he can
To make them feel wanted he's a good holy man

I have so many songs to choose from. Been listening to music since the early 50's. I'll start off with "Lonely street" by Patsy Cline. I have one big list of favorites through the years. and speaking of that , how about "Through the years" Kenny Rogers, Played at our wedding.
