Check with you local library to research the definition, function and purpose of each. If you have a college near by that provides education in law, check and see if you can use their Law Library. While in the library, there might be some student that will provide interpretive assistance to you. As you said the internet could be dangerous, and down right deceitful in their response.

I called them, and asked if there was someone that I could talk to about deeds. She said, "yes, me."
She didn't know anything other than to say talk to a lawyer.
