I had to pull out my old album with them playing dueling banjos. What wonderful memories!

Aha, Dueling Banjos! So many of the greats perform that instrumental... one of the all time favorites! Flatt & Scruggs have a fun version of it. :)

My wife has been rehearsing the tenor part for Carmina Burana (she's an alto, but her tenor range is solid, so she get pants roles occasionally). I've heard Oh Fortuna and the other 23 pieces in Carmina often enough so that it is now in my earworm queue.

She was working with the Northshore Choral, so there were about a hundred-fifty voices. It sounded just fine! The one (!) performance was at the Columbia Theater, last week. I went, and took her mother and great aunt. It wasn't their kind of music, but they liked the idea after I explained the loose plot that Orf had to work with. (Hot Damn! Culture comes to Hammond Louisiana.)

Paulette, an area choral group is singing Carmina Burana at one of the local high schools in a few weeks, and I am planning on attending. It is a beautiful, emotional piece. As For What I'm listening to now, I'm trying to learn the 1, 4, 5 blues riff to Bonnie Raitt's "Love me Like A Man" and the rhythm guitar chords to "Brown EyedGirl".

I hope your wife has a success with Carmina Burana. If she can do that, She is a Hell of a singer!

I just put on the album Wolflight by Steve Hackett. Bet no one here has ever heard of it much less Steve Hackett.
