Went to Richmond, Dillards, yesterday morning to buy a new purse for my wife. I had been looking at their online site, and knew what I wanted, just didn't want to have it shipped.
I picked one up and carried it to the cashier, and she rang it up. Saved $75. The sale wasn't even advertised.

Present for your wife and for you getting it cheaper. 
The gals at Catherine's and Lane Bryant were always good about pulling out a coupon or other special for me. It can pay to get to know your sales associates.
