9/11

Post by Diana Michelle »

The 20th anniversary of 9/11 is less than a week away. Perhaps one of the darkest days in American history. The day we came to the reality we were not immune to the terrorist attacks that to this point had pretty much always happened elsewhere. I don't want to get into the politics of the situation here but I do want to remind all of you to take a moment to remember that day.

Do you remember where you were when you heard the news a plane had flown into the one of the Twin Towers and how you felt. The emotions that gripped you as you heard another plane had crashed, another hit the second tower, yet another had struck the Pentagon.

As you remember also never forget those innocent souls that lost their lives that day simply by being at work. Those crippled and maimed from the events of that day. Those brave souls who overpowered terrorists causing a plane to crash taking all their lives to prevent that plane from crashing into the White House. Those first responders who risked life and limb rushing in to assist in any way they could many of who never returned and those who did are left with physical and emotional distress and scars.
Remember Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did only she did it backwards and in high heels!
