What is the function of Friends & Foes in the User Control panel? All I can see happen is that the list(s) get partitioned into online/offline lists. Is there anything else it does for me, or to me?
Thanks,
Kelly

Re: What does the Friends & Foes section of the UCP do?
Hi, Kelly -
The "Friends & Foes" section of the User Control Panel (UCP) is defined as follows:
While you are out-and-about the forum, those members you have in your Friends list will be highlighted with the "Online" button image below their user name and above their avatar (if they have one) in the Author section of posts.
However, if you do not have anyone identified in your Friends list then you will only be able to see if they are "Online" by viewing the "Who is Online" section on the bottom of every page. The "Who is Online" section at the bottom of the main index page shows everyone logged in to the forum; the one at the bottom of all other pages only shows logged-in members who are in that particular section.

The "Friends & Foes" section of the User Control Panel (UCP) is defined as follows:
In short, it's a way of seeing - or not seeing - posts by those members . . . with the exception of Moderators or Administrators, of course, who cannot be 'blocked'.Manage Friends: Friends enable you quick access to members you communicate with frequently. If the template has relevant support any posts made by a friend may be highlighted.
Manage Foes: Foes are users which will be ignored by default. Posts by these users will not be fully visible. Personal messages from foes are still permitted. Please note that you cannot ignore moderators or administrators.
