Jennifer, I can relate to the strong desire to dress and be girly girly as I am in a similar position because family now permanently reside with me. Requal gets very little time and what time she gets is very precious to her.

I think this is a fairly easy look to pull
of and where many of us started and some still
are . It gives you the freedom to mix and match
both boy and girl clothes and accessories .
Maybe girl jeans , tight
Girls tee over sport bra loose boy shirt
Short hair in slightly fem style. Or long hair in Pony
slightly higher on head for more fem look.
Footwear anything from boots to
the more sturdy girl Sandals
A look that most girls will recognize , yet
few guys will even notice
Pay attention to grooming
Not just face but shave arms legs
Very light foundation and lipstick
This look and a good girly attitude will
take you anywhere a nice girl should go !

You can pretty much wear what you like as to. Jeans and shorts .
Skirts not so much . Over size tees will work well too
You can pull off more. Of a Tom boy look around people you. Don't know !

A lot of doing the " Tom Boy " thing is just
owning it .
Whatever you choose to wear just act like it is
No big deal , do not apologiese or
make excuses . Pretty soon those around
You will accept , perhaps even embrace it
as the new style

I found all sorts of tomboy clothes at Walmart
Yesterday : lee jeans in either a Jamaica
Bermuda length ( rolled up cuff) for
a little more fem look
Bunches of tee shirts in greys greens etc
Bunches of tennis maybe
A baseball cap in white or a lighter color
Girl sunglasses and you are all set !
Not much money spent and stuff you can wear
most anywhere everyday

I think the world would be a much better place
if males were allowed to express what ever level
of femininity they desired without penality
We could use one of the alternate names for it
such as Tommie Girl or perhaps the. version sometimes used
in Great Britain , Nancy Girl

I'm sorry about your dad. Both my parents are gone now. Being with them as their life comes to a close is difficult but I wish I'd been there more for mine.

I definitely relate to tomboy. My inner girl is a complete tomboy.
