I was thinking about possibly going to this event (http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). Given that I've just recently opened the "out" to public door I'm wondering if this would be a good way to expand my horizons.
If you've been, please let me know if you liked it?

Re: Diva Las Vegas
Hi, Robyn -
Virginia and I went to Diva Las Vegas in 2007 and had a great time . . . we even had our Commitment Ceremony as one of the 'events' that was open to everyone, and those CDH members that attended were our Bridesmaids. Unfortunately, our work schedules have not permitted us to return to DLV since then.
There are usually a few CDH members that still attend, and Nora is a LV local that works on the DLV organizing committee. If you can attend, then by all means do so! We loved the fact that it was not a typical convention and we picked the events that we wanted to attend. The events are arranged by how comfortable you are going out en femme, from newbie to pro, and there is a Big Sister program that you may wish to utilize, especially if NG does not go to DLV with you.
We are not much into gambling so we stayed at the Atrium which is a block (or 2?) off the main strip - the rooms are suites with kitchenettes and very friendly staff.
Whatever you do, make sure you reserve your seats for the dinner at Bahama Breeze - that is THE event that should not be missed, it gets bigger every year and seating is limited. Virginia even got on stage with the 'entertainer' which was awesome!

Re: Diva Las Vegas
The ceremony was beautiful. I wore a beautiful long green and white dress with a really pretty matching hat and of course SL wore a long white wedding dress. We took a limo to the chapel and it was awesome just walking through the hotel lobby. It was one of the best experiences of my life and the girls that showed up as witnesses and bridesmaids were fantastic and all had come to the Diva Las Vegas meeting.
Several of us took the boat cruise of Lake Meade and that was fun too! The dinners and the Bar Crashers where you take a limo's to the various bars was neat and we even got "special" admission to a "private" club at the MGM and ........ well the whole week was wonderous. I think they even arrange trips to the Grand Canyon. Some of the girls took a trip Nevada's answer to Texas's "Chicken Ranch." They did not say if they partook of the offerings but they did say the girls there were so sweet and took time to talk to them a long time.
Anyway, highly recommend attending it at least once. Fun times!
