A bit far for me to travel to.
Does anyone know of groups and events in the near future, in Eastern NC?
I've been looking, but so far there is only a little goings on in Raleigh area.

While it's in Norfolk, Virginia, it is on the east coast . . . and the Village People will be there, too!

Wow- close enough for that event, but I can't make this weekend--bummer.
Thanks so much though.
I'm sailing on the 17th. That's probably one of the few things that take precedence over dressing.
And no, I haven't reach the stage that I'll dress while racing and be among my crew. *sink*

I have another few days of Hanna time coming up. Do you know of any events coming up in November?

Hi, Hanna -

Virginia and I rarely attend any of the LGBT events - we prefer to stay mainstream, and so do most of our friends - so we have no idea what's being planned and where.

May I suggest you conduct a Google search?

Happy hunting!

Thanks for the reply. You suggested a Gay Rights day in Norfolk a few months ago, which I couldn't make. Thought you may have some new ideas.
I've done lots of searches, just not much in my area. I may venture out to Raliegh for a day or two, and maybe as I am getting braver-yes, just go mainstream.
Thanks so much.

I am not knowing of any events in the Raleigh/Durham area, but since this is now the city of my re-birth, I might visit it more often. It is my understanding Raleigh/Durham is very LGBTQ friendly. During my hospital and follow up stay's in hotel and the general area (Duke health) I have not experienced any negativity.

Hugs.

Thanks so much or your reply.

I believe you are correct in Raleigh area being very friendly to almost anyone associated with the LGBGT group.
I haven't had the chance to spend time there in drag yet, b ut the area seems to be so much more advanced and accepting. And, I can't say that I have had any problems in my area of Eastern NC either, yet.
It's still the distance from home that makes it a little difficult to associate and find others of the LGBGT community.
But I'm working on it.
BTW- congrats to you Miss Erin.
