Overview of Forum Rules & Guidelines

Hi, and welcome to the forum!

This forum was founded by Sharon(SO) – now known as GalicianGirl(SO) – and Shannon to help support CDs and TG people, their spouses or girlfriends, and family and friends of CDs and TGs. The forum then administered by SilverLady(SO) and Caith as the Software and Web Administrator. The current site owner and Administrator is Kimberlys.

If you notice or have a question regarding the software side of the forum (ie, experiencing a problem) please make a post in the Ask Us . . .aka FAQs section and it will be answered as soon as possible. If the problem is along the lines of a serious nature please contact Kimberlys the site administrator direct via PM.

This site is primarily for support but we have and will continue to evolve over time to reflect the needs and desires of the members – within reason, of course. Should anyone have questions, comments or suggestions please contact Kimberlys via PM.

All rules and guidelines will continue to be strictly – and equally – enforced. In general, members will receive one warning for any offenses committed. Second offenses of a similar nature will result in a one-week suspension; a third offense results in a one-month suspension; and a fourth offense will garner the offending member a permanent ban from the forum. There are some offenses that are so egregious they warrant an immediate suspension or banning, and those will be handled on a case-by-case basis. While we do not like to suspend or ban members, we will not hesitate to do so should the situation so warrant.

*** Effective August 11, 2016, any and all discussions regarding religion or politics - to wit, anything religious or about religion of any kind, the Constitution, laws and legal documents, presidential elections, political party platforms, state and local elections, individual candidates, links to any such web sites, articles, blog posts, and the like - will no longer be permitted here at the Haven; please note this is not a complete list of excluded topics but, rather, just a sampling of topics that will no longer be permitted, not even in Hot Topics. There are more proper forums for those discussions, but this is not one of them. Current topics on those subjects have been locked and will remain locked; one new topic has been deleted in its entirety. Topics directly related to GLBTQ issues are fine.


As always, the decision(s) of either the Moderators ('Mods') or the Admins are not to be questioned or criticized in the open forum. Any questions or further discussion of the decision(s) made should be directed to the Admin via PM only, and specifically to Kimberlys.


An alphabetic list of our rules is below; each has a clickable link to that rule. As a reminder, it is always the responsibility of the member – or proposed member – to become familiar with our rules. Ignorance is not an excuse, nor is the failure to read any updates to the rules a viable excuse (it is called being an adult and accepting responsibility for your actions or lack thereof).

These rules have not been changed, they have just been separated to make it easier for everyone to find and follow them. Rules that had previously undergone several revisions over the years – specifically Avatars, Photo Gallery, and User Names – have had the older, defunct versions removed to avoid confusion.
