I think it is great that members are posting their own websites in the Profiles, but I have been noticing lately that some of these websites have absolutely nothing to do with crossdressing, or they are some type of dating, pornography, or other adult-content type of sites. If the photos or videos on those sites do not conform to our rules, then links to outside sites cannot be posted here, even if it is to your own website. Please remember that this is not the place for such garbage and we also have members on this forum that are under the age of 18 years.
Personal web sites must be your own site which is all about you, personally, and not about your group, business or interests. Personal web sites may also be your blog site, provided there are no pornographic or adult-only oriented commentary, photos/graphics, or advertisements. Sites that do not immediately 'open' when clicking on that link (ie, it's actually a document that downloads to one's computer) will be deleted from the profile as it is not actually a web site link.
Members are to utilize the web button of their Profile - and not their Signature Block - for the link to their personal web site or blog; please be aware that the general public (non-members) will also have access to that web button. If you are no longer maintaining that personal web site/blog and/or it ceases to exist, please do everyone a favor and remove it from your profile.
"Blogs" or similar personal pages at any adult sites (Transgender Relationship, URNotAlone, AFF, 'AdultSpace', etc.), fetish sites ('FetLife'), BDSM sites and the like are not permitted and will be immediately deleted. If that member continues to add that deleted site back to their profile their account here will be deleted and they will be permanently banned.
Web sites such as Twitter - which is an Instant Messaging site - are not permitted and will be deleted without notice.
Social media web sites that predominantly require registration for viewing - such as Facebook, LinkedIn and MySpace, or video/photo sharing sites such as YouTube, Flickr or PhotoBucket - will be allowed to remain provided all content therein also conforms to forum rules/guidelines (no adult content, not a commercial venture, etc.). Your 'page' at those sites must also be searchable within that site; any 'page' hidden from a search will not be permitted.
Group sites within Yahoo or Google, etc., other forums, or those sites which are of a commercial venture, are not considered personal web sites and will be deleted, even if it may concern CD or GLBT events or issues.
Local support groups, Tri-Ess groups, TGEA, Pink Essence, and the like are also not considered personal web sites, and while we would like you to share these web sites and their events with us, we ask that you do so only in the Upcoming Events and Local Groups section.
As a reminder, we do not allow any references to adult, fetish or BDSM websites, their names, their contact information, or their products or services, in any post or profile, under any circumstance. Any post, topic or profile containing such information may be edited, or deleted in its entirety, at the sole discretion of the Site Administrator(s), and their decision is final.
All posted sites will be randomly visited by the Site Administrator(s) and/or Moderator(s) to ensure compliance with our rules. Personal sites that are not regularly updated will be considered as 'inactive' and they will be deleted from the member's profile without notice. If you continue to add them back to your profile - without updating your personal site via new posts - then your membership will be deactivated and you will be permanently banned from the forum.
Update: 07/26/2018 - Members who have not logged in to the Haven at least once per year since the date of their joining - regardless the number of posts they have made to the Haven since their joining - will have their website deleted from their profile. If/when that member should return to 'active' status via regular logging in to the Haven (posting in the chat room does not count as logging in) they may add that personal site back to their profile.
We want you to post your own personal website in your Profile, but please keep it close to the topic on hand and keep it clean. If you are not sure if your web site meets our criteria, please contact me via PM with your web site link and I will review it. I’m really not trying to be mean, but I want to keep this place clean and running smoothly.
