Debut In Public Dressed As Martha.

Post by Martha G »

Well. I finally did it.

I dressed as the picture in my avatar: long paisley skirt, red pullover, blonde wig, earrings, full makeup and a large purse.

I went first to the library. No one made any unusual stares. I do make a very passable lady with some very feminine traits.

When my eyes looked at several ladies they all smiled and some said hi! Same way with the men.

Afterwards I went to a cozy coffee shop. The same there. No unusual stares. When made eye contact I was given either a smile or said hi to.

I ordered my coffee in a soft, low, somewhat effeminate voice. No stares there.

In this excursion I don't believe that anyone though that I was a man.

I blended in and I believe that I was fully accepted as a woman.

So I was very successful in going out for the first time.

I also looked so much younger as Martha and felt so much younger as well.

Well my debut was a success and all the worry was for naught.

Congrats!! I think so many fear the worst and it so rarely happens. No one has ever said a word to me on any of my shopping excursions. Just gotta take the plunge and see for yourself.

*-* ``5 Hope it was not too nerve ranking that you actually got to enjoy yourself. Each time you get out, you simply get more and more relaxed and you enjoy it more and more.

Hello Martha
From you avatar you do present well but that is only part of it. Obviously you where very confident in fem mode, which is the other part of it.
When others looked at you you did not look away or act like you were not suppose to be there. When some one smiled you smiled etc.
I am so glad your first time out went so well for you.

*-* \:D/ good for you girl,

Now I have to agree 100% with Phyliss as being out and about is much more then what you look like. First and fore most you have be who you are and as said a smile goes a long way.

Look forward to your next time out, (--) Carol Ann

=D> Sounds like a great time Martha. I have to agree with Carol Ann and Phyllis. If you looked anywhere close to your avatar there is no reason anyone should have seen you as anything but a mature woman out for a day.

In casual locations such as the library or coffee shop, women smile at each other, and men smile at women. Men just seem to grunt at other men.

You did it, Martha! Seems like you were assumed to be female by the general public. Quite a difference from stage acting.

Thoroughly enjoyed being out and about as a mature woman.

I was very passable. I have been developing more feminine gestures which helps a lot.

Will have to get some new outfits and dresses.

It felt good being a woman out and about. I loved it!

I'm truly happy for you Martha and not wishing to sound like an echo here but if you looked as good as you do in your avatar then it's no wonder no one knew you as anything other than a mature lady out for the day.

Hugs,
Michelle.

Good for you. The fear is in our head. People are much more aware and are more accepting I really do not even think it is necessary to pass just to look nice and to fit in and people will just go about their business. Do we really want to be noticed or to feel as if we are the focus of attention? I don't I just want to be free to be who I am and do whatever I need to do just like I do when my gender is seated on the masculine side.
