Rocky Horror Picture Show

Post by LeeAnn »

Well Halloween is upon us. The Hard Rock is shoeing The Rocky Horror Picture Show, what a better time to go out as Lee Ann and be with a whole bunch of crazy, if not down right lunatics. I have been to the casinos one other time and had a decent time walking around. I have learned never go to a place that I am not familiar with, is not CD friendly or that does not have adequate security. The casinos are a great place as they have some of the best security around. Plus going out to this movie there will be many people in costumes.

I hope all you ladies have a safe and wonderful Halloween.

Quite a number of closeted CDs find courage to go out the first time on Halloween, especially if RHPS is being shown!

I just realised something. Do you know I've never actually watched it? I mean I get the gist of it, but I've never actually sat down and watched it. I'm probably the only one in these forums like that huh? Guess I can't blame THAT one for my oddities hahaha

One of these years I'll get round to it, I promise! :-k heehee

Don't feel badly Karin, i've never seen it either.

Well, to be perfectly honest i never stayed sober enough to remember seeing it, perhaps that is something i should do now that i am sober.

Hmmmmm, and to do it dressed as well.......now there is a thought!

Going as enfemme as I ever get in public to the Retrodome in Cupertino this Wednesday. They have a well-rehearsed RHS caste and the audience is always in costume. This show should be special because the Dome will be closed in January and then probably torn down.

Well, I saw it in its original run (i.e. as a stage show) in London (?Chelsea, I forget) in...ermmm...1804. However, I was also petrified, being afraid that somehow, they would see through my completely bland disguise to the inner crossdresser (who "they" are remains unresolved).

I've only seen it on the telly, interestingly at a pub I used to drink in a lot, there were some die hard fans, and they used to call me Brad! (strangely my flat mate's name) soon afterwards I married my wife, Janet. One of these guys told the story of how he was working in Norwich and the RHPS came to town as a fan he got all dressed up and went, but fund he was the only one in costume!

I went out with another CDer on Halloween that is only comfortable going out in public around this holiday. It seems to give some the courage to get out.

Had a great time at the show. Lot's of people commenting (in chorus) during every scene, and blowing bubbles, waving light sticks, throwing cards and toilet paper rolls - all cued by the action and supplied by the goodie bag and script we got with our tickets. The stage caste was pretty good, though it's impossible to beat the screen caste.

I was dressed, not in a RHS costume, but obviously a bearded guy in a dress and wig. I quickly got used to being in public because everyone else was dressed for Halloween and I was just one of the crowd. It's like being naked in public when everyone else is naked, like in a hot tub. You soon feel perfectly comfortable.

First time out dressed was at the RHPS - one of the best times I ever had. Lots of guys in drag, many like the actors, and the audience participated big time. Think I've seen it like 30 times - they say it's the most viewed movie ever here in the USA
