After 10 weeks or so my therapy appt finally came through. This is to do with me having some sort of fear of leaving the house.
Wasnt sure what to expect, but the lady who saw me was very easy to chat to, she asked me about my typical day, feelings, childhood, mental state.
After about an hour n a half of chatting she determined that the reason I dislike going out is because staying in my room has become the 'norm' for me for the last 4 years. And that I have little or no reason to leave my room, I have everything I need here, I socialise online, game online, shop, and download my favorite shows, my bedroom has very much become my comfort zone, so much so that I freak out at the thought of leaving it.
This is also why I dont have any real sleeping pattern, basically I have no routine and my bedroom/bed are not associated with me sleeping
This week I have to fill out a diary of my events from hour to hour, mine is really quite embarassing ( just says - gaming - watch programs - have tea - gaming - watch programs - you get the idea) her plan is to reduce my pc time and get me into a routine, so gradualy ill go out or something instead of being in my room, then going out will become normal for me again. - I think thats the geneal idea from what i understood -
I also asked for help reguarding my cd'ing which she is going to arrange for me, although im more confortable with it than I originaly was, i still have off days.
Thanks for reading.

I'm glad your first session went well.
What is your living situation? Do you live with your family? I'm curious as to why your room has taken on so much importance as opposed to the rest of the house or apartment. Do you live in just a single room?

Currently living with my mum and dad, i do have free reign of the house, i just choose 2 stop in my room - it originally started out as short term unemployment, and lack of funds stopped me from going out, however as this has gone on so long i seem to have developed an addiction to my comfort zone.

I can see how this can happen. Times of unemployment have been discouraging for me, and it's comforting to retreat to the familiar. But it becomes a prison, and a waste of free time when I could be doing stuff I wanted to do but was too busy working.
