I recently came across an article, "7 Things you learn from a straight guy who is a crossdresser" in of all places, Cracked.com
But I encourage you to read it, as he nails several things.

Except for some crude language, the guy just about hit it for me.

It is cracked, and I believe the writers get paid a bonus for every F word they can stuff in an article.
Well, we all have a face
That we hide away forever
And we take them out
And show ourselves when everyone has gone

I am with Rhanda that the article is a good grasp of where I have been and where I am at. I was expecting more crude language from the posts, but did not think it was that bad. But cleaning it up would make it an easier read for many people. The writer is also pretty spot on with where CDers sit within society and the TG community from my experience.

I loved it. Should be printed in the NY Times, too.
Glad I'm not alone. (As well as Stephanie )

Re: Interesting article from unlikely source
The article is actually right on target although I definitely found the language offensive. It would probably carry a lot more weight if it were published on a more mainstream site although considering the author's choice of words I can understand how it ended up where it did.

The author is a person who is not afraid to express their opinions and has expressed my thoughts, feelings and life experiences with my dressing in one article.
Agree that it should be widely published. It would certainly take some of the stigma and misunderstanding as to who crossdressers are.
Some of us are just males who enjoy the comfort of female apparel and occasionally get in touch with our feminie side.
