Playing dress up for the weekend

Post by Arielle Enid »

Finally got around to uploading these on Photobucket. So a couple of weeks ago my gf's daughter wanted to play dress up so I thought this would be a good time for all 3 of us to bond as girls  (plus this would give me time to practice applying make up once more and try some new hair styles). I am not really fond of mirror shots as they make you seem "self centered" but sometimes they have to make do lol as everyone fell asleep since we all stayed up till 5:00 a.m. (it was a blast!). I used my Cannon 14.1 MP camera this time instead of my HTC wildfire cell phone cam for a little better pictures. Anyways here they are, just thought I would share. I am wearing a blue patterned sundress, black cardigan (cardigans are awesome lol), various matching bracelets, and green wedges (not shown). At the time I had my nails done to try to accentuate a natural female look and I also wore my wig in a ponytail rather than let out this time. The picture on the dry-erase board is something my gf's daughter drew that I tried to pose with but it did not turn out how I liked it so I decided just to post it anyways because I thought it was a neat drawing despite being fairly simple. ;)

Looking good Arielle, and dare I say it very "Girlie", how old is your GF's daughter?, how was she with you all playing dress up?
Paula

Just because you don't believe it, that doesn't mean it's not true

Thank you Paula G. :) She is 10, she is very enthusiastic about it. She probably likes me more en femme since I am more easy going.

I'm liking your look in these pictures more than your avatar; not that your avatar is bad at all. You did good and so glad you got to do some bonding and some makeup practice.

Time to buy an inexpensive tripod. You might consider one of those little ones that has twisty legs and can stand on a table or wrap on a pole. The best is having having a friend or family taking the pictures :)

Again, you did good.

@ ErinS

Thanks, it was indeed fun. :)

Hehe thanks, some progressing is what I am going for. I tend to prefer the "natural" look compared to the "glamorous" look (pic in avatar) as well. I recently just purchased a real human hair wig (to further attempt the natural style I am leaning towards) that has an awesome look and feel! I will probably pick up a cheapy tripod sometime in the future.
