I used to be a lunatic from the gracious days,
I used to feel woebegone and so restless nights...

I'm a middle aged die hard rocker and unashamedly proud of it. To prove it here's one from Barclay James called For No One.

Re: THE OFFICIAL: What Are You Listening To Now?
I have a very diverse taste as music is one my main sources of joy, which also helps me get through the day. I grew up a metal head, so I still listen to that sometimes, also some hip hop, techno, hard rock, but about ten years ago I got into an amazing scene called Jam bands, so this is one of my fav bands who mix rock, and techno. Hope you enjoy. By the way when I'm dressed I like listening pop music. Go figure.

These lyrics give me goosy bumps.
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart,
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll neveeer walk alone, walk on, walk on

Hello Karin,
Nice to see you again. What am I listening to at the moment? The sound of silence. The television or flat screen is off as is the radio (I like to listen ti WRR in Dallas, a very good classical station) and there is nothing but the noise of insects, such as they may be, and a few autos in the neighborhood. Sometimes silence is golden.

I love this line.Martine Amance wrote:What am I listening to at the moment? The sound of silence.
"You say it best when you say nothing at all" is a song which Alison Krauss does - which maybe is kind of related. Anyway I love that too.

Alison Krauss for the last hour. What a beautiful voice, not to mention a lot of upbeat bluegrass
Normal, just not average,

Virginia calls it 'glorified cat squalor' . . . and that is what I call her 'jazz' especially when anyone tries to sing jazz - argh!!

My uncle played bluegrass with Roy Clark and Buck Trent when I was a kid. Virginia just doesn't know what she's missing.
