Ebony sky
Lightening fractures perfect blackness
With white brillance
Silence shattered
Thunder echos on the wind
Water laden clouds
Rain falls in sheets
An ordinary night
Becomes magickal

Yes,yes,yes I'm with you totally, I love the weather when it moves. In fact, and don't tell anyone, i'll get called wierd I actually prefer it to a clear blue sky.... in fact for me there's no competition.

We are so on the same page There is just something about the energy in the air before and during a storm. Ah, and the way the air and earth smell after Mother Nature cleanses them, nothing quite like it

Beautiful poem, Jassmine.

When my brother and I were kids, my father used to bring out a couple of chairs on the front balcony and have us sit to watch the lightning dance before a gathering storm. It was awesome! Hmmm... haven't done that in a while. Perhaps I should. Thanks for sharing.

Very cool You know, it has been a while since I have done it myself. I concur, I think I should, too Sigh....I will probably have to wait until September, though. We don't get much in the way of rain or storms here during the summer
