NOT finding a SO for a CD'er...

A 'round table' for CDs, TGs and GG/SOs to talk with each other. We're all in this together, so let's make the most of it.

NOT finding a SO for a CD'er...

Post by Leilah W. »

This has been a great desire of mine for the past 20+ years. One who I would truly feel comfortable with who would be accepting to my own feelings. It is a great emotional wringer to gain a relationship over time, only to find out that person would in no way be in acceptance of a crossdresser as a part of their live.

The fantasy you read about in publications, or now on the Internet of a male dressing up and being accepted by a female is to me, just that; a fantasy. I'm seriously afraid of seeking out in public, for fear of exposure to a 3 degree of separation my local area seems to precipitate. It really hurts sometimes.

Sorry if I rambled on, I'm venting over this difficult period in my life.

I imagine it can be quite difficult to find the right person, but it does happen at times. Do you have newspapers in your area that take personal adds? Sometimes there arre GG's looking for relationships with CDs, and they'll hang out whre CDs hang out. And sometimes a person just gets lucky.

Hi, Leilah -

Sometimes the best thing to do is to not actively seek a relationship - - and then, lo and behold, you stumble into a great friendship and before you know it, that great friendship leads to romance. I've seen it happen to numerous friends over the years and, yes, it's happened to me, too. And when it happens like that, it's just a totally awesome feeling!!

There are many GG's, myself included, who gladly accept CD's as friends, lovers, and spouses. Don't try so hard, Leilah - - if it's meant to be, then it will be.

You cannot find something that can't be found. Acceptance will never be found with others. Only within yourself. My personal belief is that the only way to feel accepted comes from within. Others will never completely understand or accept us. We don't understand ourselves. Do what you love and love what you do. Don't look to others to make your life whole. Only you can do that. Big hugs. :)

Love
