One of members talks about the "moment when the girl emerges" (you know who I mean) for some it is a physical thing like putting on a wig, or ear rings for me it was when I started using my name. I did try out a few others on for size (mostly on line) first, I remember being Babara, and Emerald, but they just didn't seem to fit ~ OK for special occasions but not for everyday wear. It was when I joined this forum and needed a name that I became Paula, and once I had the name the person began to emerge. This may seem silly but I do think Paula is in some way a separate person even though she and he are parts that make up the whole.

Pick a name you are happy about as an individual, an Aunt, a shopper, etc etc. remember one day you will meet somebody and have to say, "Hello I'm ........."
Paula

Just because you don't believe it, that doesn't mean it's not true

Thanks for the advice Paula. I'm still strugglin a bit with the whole decision to live with crossdressing, and how far I will go with it, so maybe I'll wait a while before deciding on the name, but lookin in the mirror this weekend while made up, I did feel comfortable with either Samantha or Tabatha. Maybe when I get a wig, it'll seem easier. Have a great day.
