My name is Brandy and so happy to find this forum! I am 39 years old, married with an 11 year old son. I came out to my wife after about 1 year of marriage and did not know what her reaction would be, luckily for me she could not have been more supportive...she is 100% with me & loves it! She say's I am the best of both worlds as I have great fashion sense and we love shopping together. Our son does not know and he will not know at least until he is an adult. I lost my job 2 years ago so I have had alot of free time in the daytime, which has turned out to be alot of fun! Typically, I dress more or less en drab, but with a touch of androgyny...A little makeup and always sandals with toenails polished...Always! I had a little trepidation at first going out in public shopping with my toenails polished, but I remembered something I read...Would a woman even think twice about going anywhere with polished toenails? No and neither should you or I...it is just nail polish, it is just a decoration for the body and if someone does not like it, TOUGH! I usually wear baggy jeans, sometimes skinny jeans, women's thong sandals or women's flip flops, a blousy top & light make-up...Life is too short to not be yourself!

What does your son say about your polished toes?

Honestly I do wear athletic ankle socks or moccasins when he is around. He did see them once when he was 7...I told him Mom played a joke on me and I did not have time for her to take it off...I think he knows to some degree, but being a kid is hard enough and there is plenty of time when he is an adult to explain things, so it is basically status quo for now.
