Nervous Hello

Well I found this site a few weeks ago after looking for a good forum to be included in with my way of life and also my wonderful boyfriend that is a CD, yes I say wonderful as I love him to bits.
I've been with him for just over a year and yes he told me right away that he was a CD, well I saw it in him anyway but that's another story lol. Well he's very supportive of me being a woman who loves this side to him and also I want to show him support too but I Know that all relationships take time to get started but I hope that we are in it for the long term as we are committed to each other and hope it gets to marriage as we are both working towards it.
I suppose he was worried at first about telling me as we've talked about many of the horror stories that a lot of the CD's go through with some of the relationship break-downs that we all have but it takes work even if your not part of this world. I thank God that I've got such a great man who is willing to share his most intermate part of his life with me and show me that, not only can I have the love from him but also the woman in him too, which we call sister, so to speak. I feel so lucky to have him in my life and would be sorry if we did break up for any reason.

I just want to be able to be on here to get advice if we need it or to make new friends too as I'm sure that I can get along with most people. Just give me a chance and I'll probably show that I'm as normal as everyone else in here.

Anyway I'm just saying a very big hello to one and all.

Miss Jo. :)

Welcome, Jo. I understand the initial nerves of approaching a subject that, by convention, nobody talks about publicly. That will fade quickly, though, and I'm sure you'll find plenty of people to share with or ask questions of.

This was intruiging:

Most CDs have to tell their SOs/wives and then (often enough) it's a shock. So your experience is definitely different. I guess there must have been some cues you picked up in your boyfriend. Maybe you could elaborate.

Well, How can I put this without any crossed wires lol.

Well I sort of picked it up when we first started taking over the net, yes its one of those internet romances but we are getting to know each other and its been just over a year since we first met and yes I really love him as we spend most of our days talking and so forth and its been every day since last year so we've spent a lot of quality hours on the net lol.
We were introduced to each other through a mutual friend of ours from another country and they never thought that we would hit it off together but we've not spent much time apart since then, yes its a kind of slushy thing but its what happens when you just click with each other, I suppose lol. I was sent to him to talk to me about some personal stuff that I had hang ups with and he was going to help me with some advice and so forth, I just wasn't expecting to fall for the guy and he wasn't expecting to fall for me too. Well I tried to put it in a way calling him a father hen to break the ice, hoping that he would take the hint saying that it was ok to say he was a cross dresser as it would open the way to speak about it, as normal the words just went over his head, well I have to forgive him as he's from another country and they aren't used to forth right people who speak their mind lol. Well I tried again a few days later and they he caught on and was more open and asked what a father hen was and I told him that he was more of a woman than I was to which he laughed as he couldn't believe it, someone who was willing to take a step out and say it was ok for him to be just him. I think he just realized that it was safe to talk openly to me and I suppose it started from there as we have been getting closer by the day as he says I'm a kind of special woman as I love that part of him as he's very special to me too. I really hope we make it as I don't want to lose him in the future as I know we have something that can get stronger if we allow it to grow. He knows that I support him completely in his life and yes I enjoy it too as I hope to go and visit in the next few months as we are trying to sort that one out together, I will keep you all informed and hopefully we'll also grow together as he's a wonderful man who I thank my friend for introducing us as we both think we are meant to be together.

Hi Miss Jo,
-wel-
Being nervous is natural when entering unfamiliar territory, but rest assured you've found a great place to learn and share.

I hope you like it.
Hugs,
Kyra

Nice story Jo, thanks. You know, you seem to think you're not much of a mother hen, but isn't this what you were being with your boyfriend here. I mean you intuited what he was was and brought him along nicely until he was ready to share it with you voluntarily. Sounds like a nice, motherly job to me.
