Hi there from BevK

Hello everyone,

My husband is a CD. I have for the most part happily embraced this, giving him a lot of clothes I no longer needed when I lost a lot of weight. I admit that at times I have had feelings of insecurity and negative feelings about it. I recently told him he was dressing like June Cleaver and it offended my sense of taste. That day we went to a consignment shop and bought him a knee-length leather skirt and a leopard-print top. Much more fun for both of us. He has a number of younger-looking clothes he told me he had not been wearing for fear of freaking me out by being too bold. Glad we straightened that out.

I am happy to have a community I can share with. I already have a small community I can share with, made up of female friends my husband has opened up to in the past. Always glad for more company.

This sounds kind of disjointed. I'll try to be more concise in the future!

Best regards to all,
Bev

Hi back Bev (--) ,

Hay now what is wrong with dressing like June Cleaver?, I'm willing to bet your husband like me grew up in that time.

Since I go out now and again my wife wants me to dress more like the times of today, I can do that but I prefer to dress more casual nice like a skirt stockings heels and a blouse. My favorite time is on a Sunday about the time women are getting out of church all dressed up and I can get all dolled up and blend right in \:D/ .

My wife knew before we got married and has been OK with it now for 50 years but to this day before I leave to go out she will always give me the once over and correct me in my dress or she just may not like the look ^^_|| .

Now and again at home I love dressing as a teenager of the mid 50 with a full skirt and 1 or 2 can can slips under it and of course a nice tight sweater (on to be 16 again).

Oh my I forgot to say -wel- to our world of everyday crossdresser's ^@^

Hi Bev--
Welcome to the forum! It's not unusual to go through a roller-coaster of emotions around this issue. You get to see a side of your husband you would never see any other way, and that can be enjoyable one day, and painful the next. Over time, it can even out.

Welcome, Bev. It sounds like you prefer him to be bold rather than quiet - albeit quiet from the 50s.

Hi Bev. It is really great to have you here. Your post gave me hope on two different levels. One, there is a chance my wife could be as accepting as you. Two knowing your husband opened up to other women as I have makes me feel better about that decision. Looking forward to your posts. -wel-

Bev,

You are one of "The Best" for sure!!! Happy that you and your SO have such a loving and open relationship. (Jealous)

But what's wrong with "June Cleaver" anyway??? That was such a wonderful era in women's fashions.

You are wonderful, see you more here I hope!!

Rikki
