Hello everyone !! Just thought I'd say Hi and introduce myself :)

I am a (SO) to one of your new members and I am SO happy to have come across this site !!
I have found quite a few of the postings very informative as well as enlightening !!

My boyfriend and I have been together now for almost 7 months. He told me about his CDing a few weeks after we first met. Although I do have times where I am a little bit taken back and confused, that does not interfere with my love for him. I fell in love with this man for who he is in the inside and not the outside. His gentleness and compassion was what had attracted me to him in the first place. Not to mention that he is my very best friend !!
I intend to try to understand him and hope through these forums he will find some answers as well as myself to some of our questions and hopefully he will realize that he is NOT the only one going through this.

I do know that we will probably have some rocky times ahead with his CDing but both of us have promised ourselves to have open comunication as with that there really isnt much of a relationship.

Finding this site was such a relief as there seems to be a wealth of information not to mention that along my journeys in here I am sure I will meet some very special people !! :)

Anyways I probably babbled more then I should have here :P !!

I look forward to meeting an sharing with all of you !!

Charlie, How's it going eh? You did not babble, you sound very intelligent. Is that your real name, I think it's adorable. Hope you can hold on to your fresh and wonderful attitude. Wish there were more like you around in Colorado. ( by the way my sister is married to a Canadien,) I love the way you people like to party. Fun loving and so accetping of others. I have that Quote on the picture of my Daughter at 10 hours old. Very nice words to live by, I also have" In a hundred years from now it will not matter that I have a big house, car or bank account. But the world may be different , beacuse I was important in the life of a child." keep smilin, keep postin and keep dressin..........Kristen

Although I do have times where I am a little bit taken back and confused, that does not interfere with my love for him. I fell in love with this man for who he is in the inside and not the outside.

Welcome Charlie,
We are always glad to have SO's with us. Thank you for having an open mind about our gift! I hope you are finding that we are not dangerous or perverted. It is simply a gift that we have and most of us want to share it with others. Women are such marvelous creaures and to have the ability to feel a lot of what they deal with is certainly something that a lot of us have and want to learn more about and we seek your guidance in representing our sisters in an acceptable fashion.
Love,
Virginia

Wow thank you all for the warm welcome !!! :) I feel pretty lucky to have my boyfriend in my life. He too is a new member (Elandra) and has also been given a warm welcome :)

As for Kristen's question about my name:
Is that your real name, I think it's adorable. Hope you can hold on to your fresh and wonderful attitude.
My name is actually Charlene but my grandpa nicknamed me Chipmunk Charlie when I was little due to the fact I kept food in my cheeks all the time !! LOL

And Virginia's comment :

When I first met Elandra 7 month ago, it was his feminine side that I was attracted to the most. His ability to see things through a woman's point of view sometimes blows me away. I truly believe you all are so blessed to have that gift and I commend all of you for sharing yourselves on here. I feel I am pretty open minded with this all and should mention that my oldest son who just came out of the closet a year ago that he is gay has perhaps let me be so undertanding of Elandra's ways. I have totally excepted my son for who he is and love him unconditionally (although his dad and stepmom have not) and I intend to do the same with Elandra.
Although I have only been exposed to CDing for the last few months, Elandra and I have been nothing but open and honest. If I seem to be having a wee bit of a hard time with his dressing then he will back off (and that has only happend once which was when I first saw Elandra all dressed up)

I love going shopping for him and finding the items that make him happy when he is dressed as Elandra. Although I must admit he has messed up my eye shadow LOL and the next thing on the list is his own makeup.

I don't know what tomorrow holds but I know that with the love I have for him and the communication we have developed I am sure we will be able to get over the rocky times (as I am sure there will be some along the way ) as well as the support and guidance this forum seems to give.

Thank you all again for the warm welcome and I so look forward to learn, laugh and share with you all !!

Love
Charlie

Charlie,
I have posted a thread under the "Do You Know How I feel?" about first impressions and if you feel comfortable in responding there I would greatly appreciate it. All I want to know is did you have some mental image before you saw the actual "package," and was it positive of negative, shocking or acceptable.
Thanks and we are glad you are here,
Virginia

Welcome Charlie,

I'm so glad you found us. I think you and Elandra will find a lot of helpful information here.

I, too, was initially attracted to my husband, Missy, because of his unusual ability to see things with a woman's perspective.

It looks like you have started this journey together in a slow and rational manner. Good for you! You may experience a few bumps along the way, but with a deep love for each other, those bumps may turn out to be only tiny pebbles on the road you travel together.

Good luck to you both.

Hugs to you and Elandra,

Mrs. Missy(SO)

Warmly welcome!!! -wel-

You wrote, that "His ability to see things through a woman's point of view sometimes blows me away."

Yeah, it's really true and amazing to notice that also my boyfriend (Joanna S, CD) has that ability. :) It's a considerable gift. Normal men, if I can use those words, don't know what they are missing. Of course it can be also individual. And, open communication sounds very good.

Best wishes!
Katie H SO) :)
