Bonjour everyone !

My name is Daphné, I am a Genetic Girl writing from France. I am in my 30's, I work (a lot) and in my down time, I enjoy the company of my friends and of my cats . I enjoy going out to clubs (Goth / 80's parties), concerts (Rock / Metal...) and "Fetish" parties. And I also like to garden...really !

I was lucky enough to study in the US for a while, and this is where I picked up my English. Please, forgive my occasional memory lap in terms of vocabulary or grammar structure.

I have come to this place to learn from y'all :) !!!

I will post the story of my "getting here" in the appropriate section... I think the one where SOs, GGs and CDs can all exchange points of views and opinions.

Talk to you soon,

D.

Hi Daphne',
Welcome to the forum.I think its great when any person wants to learn about our gender diversity rather than being small minded about us. =D>

Bonjour Daphne,

Sorry that is the extent of my French, so don't be embarrassed about an occasional English memory lapse. As an American, foreign languages are no problem for us, we just shout louder. I hope that you enjoy our forum.

Hugs

Fran

Bonjour Daphne,

Welcome to our family. I have made many business trips to France and loved the people I worked with there. I'm glad to see another GG join because your perspective on things is very valuable and much appreciated. Please share with us, be honest, and speak from your heart.

Andi

Thank you so much for the warm welcome ! And speaking in French and everything ! =D>

[When I lived in TX, I was the Teaching Assistant for a Professor of French, and yes yes, foreign languages are a bit of the fifth wheel of the curriculum, especially anything not Spanish.... but well, French people very much lack enthusiasm for foreign languages as well, soooo  ]

Salut, Daphné!

Je te souhaite la bienvenue sur le forum! 8)

It's great to see another member of "la francophonie internationale" join our ranks. There are some forum members here who can hold their own in "la langue de Molière"... but you can count them on the fingers of one hand--but it's a well manicured hand, I might add! :P

I've also been to France ( a long, long time ago) and have enjoyed tremendously the time I spent there. Seemed to me like the French have a special fondness for their Québécois "cousins" (and I still think that, no, we don't have a weird accent; you do! ).

Anyway, it'll be good to have still another GG's input and viewpoint on the board. Again, welcome!

Love,
CJ

It's always a pleasure to welcome another GG to this forum, and don't worry too much about using proper English composition and grammar, it might confuse some of us who speak every thing except Greek, (If it isn't American English, it's Greek to us) If one speaks several languages they are referred to as "mulit-lingual" if they speak two languages they are "Bi-lingual". So what do you call someone who only speaks one language?

An American! ***-------
