Here is some memories from my primary school days
Monday morning such a pain coming back to this place again
cant wake up and I feel half dead , just want to stay in bed
Monday arvo , may the time move fast and become hometime at last
into the food to fill my belly , off with the shoes and watch telly
Tuesday morning a bit more on the ball , felt I never went home at all
no sooner got home last night and then , realized I'm back here again
Tuesday arvo back into the working swing and able to cope with anything
the workload has been hell , cant wait for the 3:30 bell
Wednesday morning just one thing to say , at lunchtime your halfway
bad day or having the best , we are about to reach the crest
Wednesday arvo we are there still , but we are now on the other side of the hill
we now have another two , the worst of the week is behind our veiw
Thursday morning let it be said , not so hard getting out of bed
if your looking for the weekend to come your way ,it will go slow on this particular day
Thursday arvo outlook is sunny and blue , the weekend just out of veiw
things get bright on a thursday night , we can now see the tunnels end light
Friday morning I have no sorrow , knowing I wont be at this place tomorrow
the weekend is now in sight and that magical feeling walking out tonight
the afternoon does not sour , were out in less than an hour
in bed I lay curled , my mind on top of the world
Saturdays are great doing what you want to do and still having Sunday to look forward to
Sundays are great untill four , when we start dreading Monday once more

You captured my mood perfectly most of my life. These days I still
get that mood sometimes.
Please forgive me because I am slow on the uptake. What is arvo?
Hi Kersten ,
I keep forgetting that I am on the other side of the world , Arvo is Australian slang meaning afternoon.
I originally wrote that after reading a silly kids book that gave the wrong impression to a child learning the days of the week , It has been slightly modified from when I hand wriote it in 1995 because I cant find the original but I'm sure I've remembered the key lines.
I wanted to Express how each day effected me and I was going to include drawings and make it into a booklet but I never got round to it.
A favorite memory was waking up on friday morning , realizing it was the end of the week and feeling happy .
when I walked home from school I would grab a handful of leaves and throw them in the air with joy , I named that tree "the friday tree "
On Friday evening everything had a magical glow about it after dinner
anyway thanks for your comments Kersten
Great Poem,
Kersten
