Trapped within anonymity
she longs for an identity.
Her own "place" in the world
Seeming so far out of reach.

A stone without a splash,
A tree without a shadow,
A vampire without a reflection,
Can you see her?

Hi Lorna (again)

Iv'e just come up a bit from the jokey page, that is quite a poem, I really like it. Sometimes things seem way out of reach, and yet you can feel them right up close, at least for me , that's how things often are, like wanting to touch a butterfly. It will die when touched, yet it's the beauty that drives me to keep going

I must go to bed soon, it's half 1 over here in England, and I haven't had much sleep recently

Great poem, Lorna! Very universal--it can apply to any person out there in this big wide world... and that's a good thing! Now, you obviously know you share at least that particular longing with those around you.

Thanks for sharing! I'm of a mind to revisit my old poems, somewhere else in this section. Might give me inspiration to write more. I love it when the gals, here, let loose their creative side.
