I haven't actively written for about 10 years. However, here are a couple of mine. I don't believe these have been published, though I have several that have...
Hope you enjoy.
Hugs.

THE WINDOW INSIDE
A tear,
so round and clear.
Sometimes collecting in your eyes,
then spilling out by surprise.
Signifying the inside pain,
forever leaving behind a stain,
in your shattered heart of glass.

LOST ANGEL
An Angel's scream pierces the night,
Her voice is strained and filled with fright;
She's hurt so long, she's hurt so deep,
Now she wants for peaceful sleep.
She lived in peace, she lived in love,
Her heart was pure, just like a dove;
He left her there, all alone,
The only love she'd ever known.
She killed herself in blinding rage,
Such a waste for one her age;
Now she drifts, alone, in pain,
Never to rest in peace again.
If she hadn't made the choice she'd made,
She'd be in peace, her soul'd be saved;
The only Angel I've ever known,
She's the only one I left alone.

LONELY CHILD
Lonely child out in the cold,
There's no one near for you to hold;
You sit alone with naught to eat,
Your worldly things piled at your feet.
Your folks have left you in the rain,
They hoped you'ld never meet again;
You feel alone, you feel unloved,
The cruelest pain from Heaven above.
What did you do to feel this pain,
And feel these lonely teardrop stains?
Your heart is pure, just like a dove,
Now you just want a little love.
So come with me, I'll take you in,
And you can tell me where you've been;
We can sti and talk a while,
And maybe laugh and make you smile.
And I will sit and hear you through,
Then I will say that I love you;
'Cause the world's a cold and lonely place,
But now it's less one sad face.
* OK, so I posted three. I hope no one minds.
PS: I just remembered that
Lonely Child has been published. But I'm pretty sure I never got around to publishing the other two.

Reality is only a dream that has been brought to life by your belief that it could happen
