Last week I threw out worrying,
just got old and in my way.
It kept me from being me;
and that really doesn't pay.
I threw out Inhibitions;
they just crowd me out.
Made room for new growth,
no place for all that doubt.
Threw out the book called past,
no time to read it anyway.
Replaced it with new goals,
started reading it today.
I threw out childhood toys,
that really had to go.
Got me a new philosophy,
should have done it long ago.
Brought in some new books,
called I can, I will, I must.
Replaced I might, I think, I ought.
You should've seen the dust.
Picked up a special thing
placed at my front door.
Someone named it peace.
I'll stay down no more.
Got my house looking nice.
Looks good around the place.
For all those things like worry,
they will find another place.
Its good to do some cleaning,
getting old things off the shelf.
Making life much brighter;
I have taught my self.
