Long Nights and Bad Weather

O thee the Night to come
On these nights the cold will come
The Snow will blow
We will be home bound

O thee that do not see the signs
The Leaves falling early
The Oaks having a large ring
The winds that blow of cold in August

The snow will be deep this year
The ice will be thick this year
The power will stop
O thee COLD COLD nights of winter

O thee dogs of cold and depth
the depth of cold will be o so great
the many nights of white
the many nights of ice

O thee of the not ready
thee shall pay
thee shall freeze
thou will know the depth of cold

This is the year of the deep freeze
this is the year of the Lord to freeze
the pains of frozen living
the pains of not being with thee Lord

See the winter to come on these nights
as the dogs of winter whip use into shape.

Hey Gelinda,
Neat poem! However I am a warm bodied girl! I hate cold weather, but it is part of the seasons and we deal with it - right!?
Love ya,
Virginia
