A Christmas Tale

"Are you ready yet?" my wife called up to me while I was finishing getting ready for the Christmas party at her office. "I don't want to be late!"
"I'm ready now, I think," I responded.
"My, you look nice," she remarked as I came down the stairs. "I'm glad you volunteered to help give out the gifts."
"Well, I don't understand why I have to wear this suit just to hand out the gifts. Besides, wouldn't a elf costume have been more appropriate?" I asked.
"Yes, but you were too tall for any of those. I think they were designed for people under 5 feet, and you're, what, 5'10"? She answered. "And that was the only suit left for helpers. Now come on, the guys are going to love it!"

So was she right, were the guys goiing to love it?
