digital photography & image processing

I have been doing film and digital photography for some years, but have just recently ventured into image processing. I was wondering if anyone else is interested.

I have been learning photo retouching techniques. One application was to take a photo of hairy legs showing through pantyhose, and digitally remove the hair. This was a personal vanity thing, to make a photo look better.

Yesterday, someone asked me if I could copy their head from a photo and put it on someone else's body. This should be fairly easy to do if the poses correspond. Then I started thinking (which is usually dangerous) that other may be interested in the topic.

If any of you are interested, please respond here and we can start a discussion of image processsing as it applies to our particular situation. Things like correcting make up flaws or 'wardrobe malfunctions'.

I have been messing with photoshop a bit I took a course in it last spring and have given my self different hair colors and combined different pictures. Just generally messing around and having fun. I have tried putting my head on differnt bodies but so far I am not satisfied with it. It is a pretty powerful program I just need to work at it more...Sallee :?

DUUUUUDDDEEE!!! I run a comic at my site: It's right here. I know that it isn't probably what you're looking for, but it's still really cool (cept for the fact that I haven't updated it in forever becuase I'm lazy, and too busy making metal).

Hey, Nick -

I just tried your link and it came up as an incorrect URL - - would you provide the site name again, please?

Thanks!

That is Funney Silverlady but the link works fine for me. What I need is help with a specific software and that is Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 and I could only find info on Photoshop CE 2.

Jessie -

I clicked on Nick's link again - and got the same message:
ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://demi_god_unicron.tripod.com/
The following error was encountered:
· Invalid URL
Some aspect of the requested URL is incorrect. Possible problems:
· Missing or incorrect access protocol (should be `http://'' or similar)
· Missing hostname
· Illegal double-escape in the URL-Path
· Illegal character in hostname; underscores are not allowed
I've tried taking out the underscores, and even searched Tripod's site - - same/similar response! ::grrrrrr:: -,,-

How are you getting to Nick's site?

http://demi_god_unicron.tripod.com/ Worked for me. Maybe the server to the site was down temporarily.

-,,- Argh!!!!!

Donna - I get the same response every time I either click on the link (yours or Nick's) or manually enter the URL. I've never had this happen with any other link or site, and my IE browser is set to medium - no changes have been made. I do have a pop-up blocker, but even that has never been 'popped' while trying to access Nick's site. Do you have any suggestions?

This Dago is starting to get p-o'ed!! {Although the German in me is holding on to the temper!} :-$ [-(

Not much there to worry about SL.

Here's pretty much what is there, minus some links.
YEAH! I'M HOME!

...but... I just got told by some pot hole that I'm supposed to still be a soldier... I am, kinda, my contract doesn't end for awhile, yet, but I'm off-post, AND off-duty, so I'm going to do what I want, when I want, how I want, and all you soldiers who say otherwise can take your position, and you stupid little rank and shove it up your backside!!!

Blog
This is the new and improved version of my journal, and it is ultra cool because the army says that I'm not supposed to have one, but I do anyways! I'm such a rebel!

Journals From The Journey
These are the tales of my day to day life, and how I percieved the world as these things were happening.

'Nuff said... just read...

The Science of Sound
Here you will find the sadness of music theory portrayed at it's finest level... in the area of MiDi files anyways...

Sculpture
This is a page containing some of my sculptures. All of them are made out of stoneware and have been high-fired to make them look shiny with the glaze that I put on them.

You could try going to "Command Prompt" under accessories and entering the following:

ipconfig /flushdns

make sure there is a space between the g and the /.

See http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm? ... 723&page=8 for an explanation of ipconfig commands, if you are curious.

Hi Shenica,

I do freelance work in graphic design so I am no stranger to the world of digital photo retouching. They do it for celebrities all the time, and the world worships them.

If they can touch up a celeb's face, then why can't everyday people like us take advantage of this wonderful technology? :)

I for one however, draw the line at adding faces to different bodies. As fun as that is to do, that is one thing I will never upload to the web. I have seen too many fights & lawsuits transpire to even think about it. :?

However, I also love creating movie/TV spoof images in my free time. Check these out! rotf

Lorna,

Thanks for posting links to all of them. They provided a much needed smile.

I remember most of them from one forum or another, and it's great to see the links all collected together.

Hi hon,

Sometimes what works for me is inserting the "www." right in front of that URL.

You can also try deleting your cookies, closing down your browser & then reopening it. Good luck!
