A few years ago a friend of mine gave me the soundtrack to "Hedwig and the angry inch". The more I listened to it the more I liked it. I rented the movie and even went to see the Off Broadway production. I loved it. It speaks to us ladies. I went to see it in a small theatre in Hartford, Connecticut and half the patrons were dressed. Unfortunatley I was in drab. The show was awesome and I knew all the words to the songs. They spoke directly to me. Here is one of my favorites from the album called "Wicked little town". It's a very pretty ballad.
Forgive me for I did not know
Because I was just a boy
And you were so much more
Only God could ever plan
More than a woman or a man
Now I understand
How much I took from you
And when everything starts breaking down
You take the pieces off the ground
Show this wicked little town something beautiful and new
You think that luck has left you there
But maybe theres nothing in the sky but air
And theres no mystical desire
No cosmic lover preassigned
Theres nothing you could find
That can not be found
Cause of the changes you've been through It seems the stranger is always you
Alone again in some wicked little twn
When you've got no other choices
You know you can't follow your voices
Without turns and noise of this wicked little town
It's a wicked little town
Our wicked little town
Love Jeannie
Hedwig!

Great play.
Ladies . The best thing about seeing the play was Hedwig was played by the man that stared in Rent on Broadway. He was fabulous. There is a small theater in my town called The Seven Angels Theater. I sent them an E-mail and asked if "Hedwig" is still touring and if there is any possibilty they could come here. Don't worry Lefty ,I'll give you a heads up. Your only 30 minutes from me. Big hugs.
Love
Jeannie.
PS. If the play comes again I'm definately going glammed up! Life is good!
