Some people say that God favors certain sports teams or the regions that they represent (like maybe Atlanta?). Let's just see about that.
In October of '91 the Minnesota Twins beat the Atlanta Braves in the World Series. A couple days after that we had a victory celebration and parade in Minneapolis. A couple days after that it started snowing. It snowed here for the next 3 days, dumping 28 inches total on the twin cities. This was the worst blizzard in Twin Cities history, the infamous Halloween Blizzard. Some folks here were given to say: "Surely God must have been an Atlanta Braves fan".
Fast forward to February 2017.
The New England Patriots beat the Atlanta Falcons in the Super bowl. A couple days later they had a big victory parade and celebration in Massachusetts. A couple days after the party, they had this horrible blizzard there, a "nor'easter". I saw it on the national news. It was terrible--18 inches of snow & wind gusts up to 70 M.P.H.!
Again, coincidence or divine retribution? You be the judge.

Re: Weather coincidence or divine retribution?
I would think if God cared about sports, the quarterback would get injured or something of his non favored team.
Well, we all have a face
That we hide away forever
And we take them out
And show ourselves when everyone has gone
That we hide away forever
And we take them out
And show ourselves when everyone has gone
