I'm back
I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who expressed their kind wishes and support earlier this year during my ‘down time’.
My rehabilitation has been going to plan and my post operation prognosis has proved to be pretty much spot on as the medics predicted as I’m now feeling quite spritely. My wife has been through so much, not just with this episode, but over many years, and words never seem to be enough, but every test life has thrown at her she passes with flying colours and never ceases to come up smiling, I guess some of us are just plain lucky to be gifted with life long partners like her.
I must admit that I was much the cause of problems which shortly after the operation put me on the brink of no return. I was instructed to cease taking my meds ( estrogen especially) 4/5 weeks before the initial operation and for some stupid reason I didn’t, for which I have no valid excuse. I was well aware of the dangers estrogen present to the blood clotting system, but there you go, it was never going to happen to me was it, but……..
It’s nice to be back in the real world again and thanks again to everyone who expressed their support and kind thoughts, this is truly a nice place to have and be part of.
I’d just like to add that if over the last two years I said anything which offended anyone in the least, then please accept my sincerest apology. I’ve had friends who lately have told me that from early 2007 leading up to the diagnosis of my tumor that I sometimes wasn’t my usual patient self and became quite snappy at times, and I can only put that down to pro-longed headaches over a long time which at times nearly drove me silly. Once again I should have known that there were deeper problems when they persisted and my eyesight continued to fail, but there you go once again, it’s never going to happen to me, is it, but……………
I look forward to once again interacting with you all.
Kind Regards,
Sally.

Watch nature, because it’s our greatest teacher, it moves and flows and moves on again. We can never be free until we disengage, so allow life to flow as you find it. The way it is, is the way it is.

Sally,
So nice to see you, especially doing well. We were all so worried about you for a while. I am glad your recovery is going well and look forward to seeing your posts once again.
I can't say that I have ever been offended by you and never noticed anything other than you being your same sweet self. Please take care of yourself and do as your doctors tell you. We would not want to lose you now after already having such a close call.
Again, glad you are back, you have been missed.
Love always,
Elizabeth

Well, hon as you can see we are soooo glad to have you back among us!!!
I especially am struck with your ability to "turn a phrase." Your "Nice to be back in the real world again...." is what I really missed about you!!!
Please give your spouse a big hug from all of us. To paraphrase, " some of us achieve greatness, some of us have greatness thrust upon us and others are born to greatness." I think SO's like yours (and mine) are born to it ........... ain't it great!
We so look forward to your sharing with us again!
Love ya,
Virginia

Sally!!!!
A huge welcome back to the real world, girlfriend, you've been greatly missed!!
Ditto to what Virginia, Elizabeth, Donna, Carolynn, Anita, CJ, and Carol Ann have said, so I won't repeat their wonderful thoughts and wishes.
Take good care of yourself, follow the doctor's orders, and most importantly, give Kath a great big hug from me!

Glad to hear you doing well, Sally. I have been away from the site for a while and didn't know anything was going on with you, but glad you are doing better. Just listen to the doctors and keep the faith.
You had wrote me a few times a couple of years ago and you were just fine, never said a bad thing to me. I know those that you may have said something to, will understand and forgive you.
Take care, we all love to see you back.
