I was reading The Atlantic, one of the magazines that everyone shares at work.... and came accross an article titled "The End of Men" How Women are taking control of everything.... and eventually there will be no need for men..... That got me thinking..... Maybe we don't have a strange hobbies.... We just have seen the future and are ahead of the curve? lol

Good. It isn't really the end of men, just the macho archetype. I feel no loyalty to it. It's done me no good in my life. I'd just as soon see it go.

Methinks reports of our death are being greatly exaggerated. Parthenogeneticist, a career of the future? I think not. But the death of the macho stereotype would be welcome. Now, would the death of all feminine stereotypes also be welcome?
I wonder.

Let's face it! When it comes to sex most men would rather it be quick. As lovers most of us suck. Women can get a variety of "toys" that can do a better job and last as long as the batteries hold out or until unplugged. The only thing the need us for is as sperm doners and that can be obtained from a clinic. Maybe for our upper body strength for heavy labor. Mooooo! They really don't need us anymore.

And crush bugs! Lol.

awww i think men can be good lovers but i have quite male tastes when it comes to sex. fast and aggressive so pretty in sync. LOl you can buy male sex toys too

Most girls on MUT say besides the sex thing that they need men for killing bugs and opening jars! Not to late to change and be on the winning team? Lol

Another reason in our house is the fact that the girls are vertically challenged so the men come in useful for reaching on high for things.

My wife prefers to use a step stool rather than call me! Sigh..

In my house it is to do eveything. But then everything that is done could be done by a woman.

Interesting article, but of course we GG's still want our men . . . after all, when God created man, 'she' was only joking . . . and we've been laughing ever since!!

Seriously, though, most of us do want and/or need our 'big, strong, guys' to do all that macho-type stuff: mow the lawn; shovel the snow; kill spiders, bugs, and other creepy-crawlies, including snakes; plunge the toilet (although it's usually the guys that plug it up in the first place ); reach for high or heavy items, fixing or making things we want or need; and the like.

Personally, I do try to be as independent as possible, but that doesn't mean that I don't want Virginia's male alter-ego around as much as I want Virginia around, for that couldn't be further from the truth . . . I want both around, because I feel that I have the best of both worlds and I wouldn't trade that for anything!!!
