There was a lovely 15 year old girl in our town who lost an heroic fight with collon cancer just this last September. You may have seen her picture on her facebook page. What a tragity. No one knows just why colloon polups turn into cancer but they do know that it generally take six to ten years for it to occure. She probably had it for most of her life. This is not a child's disease.
My family is a high risk family. My father died with collon cancer 27 years ago and I lost a neffew only a few weeks ago. I had a collonoscopy this morning and I am happy to say that you will probably have me around for a long time. This is my third time and the first time that a polup was found. It was taken and taken to the lab where it was found to be non-cancerous. You cant beet that for good news.
My purpose for righting this to ask anyone who is in a high risk family or are 50 or older (especiooy if you have been a smoker) PLEASE HAVE A COLLONOSCOPY?
