I just don't understand it!!! It seems like whenever I go over to read posts on the CDDF site, I see posts just trashing this site....
Maybe it is just the female side of me showing , but it really bothers me when some people will go out of their way to say bad things about something that is there for their benefit.....We're all here for the same reasons, to provide a safe place where a CDer and SO can go to get help and information. Why does it have to be such a competition?
Well sorry girls, I just needed to vent a little .... and once again THANK YOU for all the wonderful posts that you have contributed on this forum and for all of you who have stood up on our defense....

It means a LOT to me and Sharon(SO)...

I have not been over to cddf in a while. I have been happier over here.

CDDF trolls aren't really worth anyone's concern: they make good fodder for a wood chipper, but that's about it.

shannon, I believe the publicity generated by the mention of this site elsewhere has sent curious people here. Once here they'll see what a great site this is on their own and perhaps even learn a few things.

Well I must confess I am one who will bad mouth and call em stupid when they say " I cann't find my way around that other forum " Carol Ann is no pc geek but I have no problem. For what it's worth this forum is so much better and we have a large number of post on a wide array of subjects and ALL you ladies are very kind to each other, I love you'al Carol Ann

Yes, it was a bummer to see that. I didn't get it either.

I stopped going over there for a few days it wouldn't settle down, it did though, but now it's back at the top. So I guess things will steam up "again" before it settles down.

Shannon was understandibly venting because she and Sharon built this great site to help others. Who would have thought some folks would be angry enough to cast stones?

Please forum faithful :: insert begging :: no one should go over there and even mention this forum. Out of respect for James and because it's just crazy to start a fight over something like this. I can't be a person who stops fingers from expressing their feelings over there, but I'm trying to appeal to all of our common senses. One group will have to be the stronger group to end feuding. I'm hoping we are the peacemakers.

Your frustration is fully understandable, hon. I can’t figure it out either.

I honestly feel that all of the hostility from the other forum towards this one needs to stop. If people can’t handle the complexities of simply clicking a mouse to get to a desired topic, that’s one thing. But for them to bash and trash is just inexcuseabble.

Don’t worry about anyone who has a problem with this place. Apparently some of the folks over at the other place thrive on conflict and infighting. Their behavior shows that they are jealous of your success at establishing a beautiful, clean, positive, troll-free forum. Their words and actions show that they are truly immature. Buncha babies!

After all of the drama that has taken place over at CDDF over the past several months I stopped posting there for a while, after which I began to feel a void. I just want to thank you for filling that void. Thanks so much for this lovely forum! I love you gals!

When I think about all the wonderful people on this forum who have enlightened me, helped me to become more expressive, and to share, and see other viewpoints, I get misty-eyed. I would never have made such wonderful friends anywhere else. Two of them in particular have already made more sense on this very thread than I will ever be able to.

I've just been beaten up on another thread in this forum by one "member" in particular. I guess someone noticed, and notified the moderator. I don't know what to make of someone who just seems to be 100% on the offensive all the time. I don't know why he is here. Perhaps he was sent by that other forum (Which I did not know about until learning of it here, but which appeared obviously to have so much less to offer.)

If there are people who hate us, why can't they just leave us alone? This reminds me too much of my local embarrasment, Fred Ph***s. No, don't even go looking for him. If you do, you'll find him and he will make you feel sick.

Mean people suck.

I just spent some time reading some of the posts at CDDF for the first time in quite a while, and the mean, hateful posts there reminded me why I made this my internet home.

It seems to me that the people on the other forum who are mean and hateful simply can't identify Ellas McDaniel taking a baseball catcher's position behind home plate to receive a pitch - they don't know Diddley.

I don't think that there is any one on the CDDF forum who attacks you, or this forum that could fit in here ( and that is if in fact they would be accepted here) They would certainly not get away with posting the things they do there on this forum. They realize it and that makes them feel uncomfortable, that is what I think is their problem. Not yours, and that is a very good thing, just as it should be in my opinion.

Please, please, don't fall into the trap of lowering yourselves to the level of the adolescent atmosphere found on the CDDF. The kind of ignorance and pettiness often found there isn't worth your while and your energy. Rant here if you wish (you'll find sympathetic ears) but posting such a rant over there is like peeing against the wind (assuming, of course, you're standing up); little good can come of it.

Those that know how much of a good thing this forum truly is will do what must be done to keep it that way. The presence of trolls and flamers on the CDDF will always prevent it from acquiring the sense of community we find here. That's unfortunate, but it's their loss, not yours nor ours.

Keep up the good work, the both of you--it's very much appreciated.

I have to wonder, are the people trashing this forum just upset because they can't slip into troll mode to post some rude or nasty remarks ?
I am also glad I found this place !! Funny, it was at CDDF where I found this link. I still look in there from time to time, but it's unlikley I will post any more notes in there.

Guess I will have to play Devil's Advocate a bit! I have not posted at the other forum for quite some time, I do however go there and read some of the posts. You girls have got to remember your beginnings and seeking help to understand what was going on with you and was there anyone out there to help. Granted you have to wade through all the "troll droppings" but there are some of our sisters that post over there that may not be aware of this forum. I agreee that we do NOT need to publicise our forum because we do have a super, great, marvelous, intelligent (uh! additonal words fail me as descriptive adjectives) but some of our sisters are sincerely seeking help and we just can not in good conscense fail them.
I do not know how they may find us, or even if they need to as there are some fine girls trying to help at the other site. Let's just kind of mind our own business and continue in the supporting, loving way we have here and serve eachother and any new girls that come by to participate.
