Those wittle wabbits are sooo cute. Sadly, I saw my momma duck the next day without her brood :( .......I guess they kinda got...oh never mind. Then I saw her walking down the street with a new boyfriend (that hussy) and now shes back in my planter with new eggs. The pic is just visiting duckies, but no matter, still cute as heck. And NOOOO, I DID NOT eat the others.

Curly,
Now that isn't funny but true, as I have named one Coco as he looks just like his daddy.

No no I don't want to become attached to them as I am the girl who has to do you know what. :sorry:

Sorry about your baby ducks, maybe a good person picked them up and will give them a good home. [-o<

::HMPH::

Now Curly, that just was not nice of you . . . I was sooooo looking forward to Grilled Rabbit, Grilled Rabbit Salad, Haussenpfeffer (sp.?), or even Rabbit Stew! [-X One rabbit for each meal, there has to be at least 5 recipes that involves rabbit, and *you* chose to deny me my protein . . . :shock: . . . don't know what I'm gonna do with you, Curly! :roll: {Well, I can deadlift you, but I'm not mean! [-( }

Hey, Carol Ann, I've got a plan! :-$ Tell Curly that all the rabbits died, and you just keep fattening up those rascally rabbits . . . we'll never tell her that we're going to eat the 'fatted rabbit' for dinner! :-$ She'll never know, all that way across the pond and all, and by the time she finds out, well, all the evidence will be gone!! :P

Well Carol Ann
My duck mommy just had a bunch more duckie McNuggets. Its that season down here, but at least the gators are staying away. Heck, I think they have more fun than rabbits!! They're so cute!!!! Pic in the gallery.

Point of information:

Your ducks are not nativeFloridians. They are Muscovy ducks, imported originally from Europe. There they are used for their dense breast meat - normally grilled like a steak.

Hope the babies survive attacks by gators and herons.

Hugs,

Lydia

I know....and there are cook books for Muscovy ducks. Here in Fla its legal to humanly kill them, but I have a list of neighbors I would do before that. When my SO was in Vegas, they had Muscovy duck on the menu. Hmmm...I see a new profit opportunity for me here. Ok ok..when they're less cute.......ok?
