I'm obviously a newbie and so I don't know why the gallery has to work the way it does, but it's still frustrating. I can never find anyone I'm looking for either and having to walk thru all the pages to find anyone is ssllooowwwww.
Since I'm new, I don't know when people joined to know if I'm even close to finding them. Consequently I go through ever page every time to find that someone either didn't have pictures or I missed seeing them in the list. One or the other methods to find people -- the search by person's name (or portion with wild card) or an alphabetical list would be very nice, please.
BTW, I had no idea I needed to use keywords to help people find me. Again, that seems like an unnecessary step if you don't feel you need to explain a picture or even that you are who you are since obviously your pic is in your album.
Sorry to be fussy.

Hi, Davita -
Correction: You've been here almost 1 year and have over 260 posts; you have long ago ceased to be a newbie.
Most of our members do not have their photos in the gallery. We currently have almost 1450 members, but only 132 members have a gallery album. In other words, more than 90% of our members have chosen not to post their photos. You can search for a member via the Members list or the Search feature in the forum.
We made the decision several years ago that we will not upgrade (or change) the gallery software just to add a "better" search feature. The complications that it will cause with the forum's software are just not worth it.
The photo gallery is not the main purpose of this forum, and we are not going to 'fix' something that really is not broken - although it might seem rusty. The gallery software is what it is; you are under no obligation to use it.
Once again, this question has been asked and answered previously, so I will just re-direct you to that topic:

Thank you, SilverLady
Wow? Almost a year? *blush* I guess you're right. I'm not a newbie.
Thank you for the clarifications. I'll sit quiet again. Well, I'll try.
BTW, I'm not sure I have come right out and said it...
Thank you all for the web site and your dedication. Y'all really do a good job.
