what is it about pantyhose, stockings...etc...

All,

I read a thread about pantyhose last night, and it is interesting to read about how many of us simply adore, love and otherwise cherish wearing hosiery. My CDing career started with a discarded pair of mom's nylons...and to this day I simply love wearing them. And I ask myself...why is that?

My list:
--love the feel of sheer nylon on my skin
--the compression and softness just feel fabulous
--the look of hose on pretty legs is elegant, and stylish
--hosiery speak volumes on femininity...I feel girlish
--and yes I enjoy breaking the "rules"
--they are warm on cold days
--I crave being touched, and hose do that for my body
--hose are core women's clothing...and I was raised around women and girls in the fifties and sixties...and that image has always pleased me.

What is your list? Why hosiery?

blessings,

For me, it's one of the most defining features of femininity. I'm not 'complete' without my stockings. Like yourself, I grew up in an era when women just didn't go bare-legged. It's a great feeling and look.

Good question,
All I know and can remember is since day 1 of being aloud to dress my mother always made sure I wore stocking as that is the way it was. I get up in the morning and on goes my bra and then my stockings and panties, just normal to me. Beside they help keep my legs warm in the winter =D>

Gina,

That's a great list you have.

To expound some, I'm a leg man and seeing a woman's nicely shaped legs (which start with the toes and end with the hips) in hoisery has always had a mesmerizing effect on me...my nervous system goes into a blissfull state, thoughts stop, just pure excitation. I have a hard time taking my eyes off nyloned feet and legs as if they are magnetic.

The same excitation thing happens when I slide nylons up my shaven legs and all your reasons fall into place.

On the practical side I ride motorcycles and find that in cold weather pantyhose under my jeans keep the cold air from reaching my legs and in hot weather the heat doesn't get to my skin either like a wind break. Best of both worlds and the support make long rides so much more comfortable.

Oh yea, having a GF over and sliding/swishing our nyloned legs and feet over each others' is great foreplay!

Thanks for your great post

Hi Gina,
I love wearing hose for all the reasons mentioned above and as Carol said they are simply part of my routine.
I also love the feel of my slip or dress as they brushes across my stocking clad freshly shaved legs.

PS:Still looking forward to meeting you for coffee.

Honey we are about the same age. Some of us are cursed with unwanted hair. I have to use an epilader at least once a week. So I'm envious. <>

Never feel properly dressed without my pantyhose or stockings, tho bare legs with a light summer dress is a lovely feeling.

Hmm,

A couple more points to add:

--like others, I love seeing women in hosiery: always enjoyable and I consciously look for them--too rare these days
--and I enjoy buying a nice pair of hose--grocery story, department store, where ever: just fun a bit of a thrill after all these years, a brand new, perfect pair is something special.

Hmm, my wife saw me sliding on some Sheer Energy black hose this morning. I felt...well...a bit embarrassed, although I came out a long time ago, we rarely talk about CDing and Gina has faded due to her disapproval. The old guilt feelings came back for a second, but left quickly. I have earned the right not to hide at home, and be who I am in life.

Yes, love me some pantyhose!

:)

IMO there is not a better feeling than fine hose worn on a clean, smooth leg. Well maybe somethings  feel better. [-X

Mmmm... three more to add:

--love the look of hosiery in the sun: they sparkle and are shiny and pretty!
--and gently rubbing my nylon clad thighs together...very sensuous
--finally just wiggling my toes with hose on...feels smooth and soft.

Well Gina just when I thought you had said it all you manage some more, you just keep writing what I am thinking on this. The sheer (sorry) sensuousness of hosiery is just too alluring

Wearing hosiery is an essential part of femininity. I always wear tights but I have never worn stockings. They don’t appeal to me. There is something wonderful about the feel of being covered from the waist downwards or in my case rib cage downwards as the particular brand of tights that I wear have allot of stretch. I use the term tights because I don’t like the word pantyhose. Wearing tights and not shaving legs is a definite no, no for me. Sadly women nowadays don’t wear hosiery to the extent that they use to. I do not like seeing women with bare legs. If one is going to wear dresses or skirts then wearing hosiery is a must and that goes for both male and female.
