I have always liked the History channel show "American Pickers". Mike and Frank are likeable guys and I enjoy when they make good finds.
On today's show they were picking at the estate of a guy who was a magician and would have side show attractions and the like. This guy died and his sister was selling some of his stuff then she let them know that Mark had been the guy helping his brother for many years and that he could help them find the stuff. Then she proceeded to let them know that Mark has been going through issues with his being transgendered and that it would be better if they called him Mary.
I was glad to see that they were totally respectful with Mary, treated her like they would have with any other gal and never hinted at any discomfort or anything like it.

I like the show, and recorded the last episode. Looking forward to watching it now.

I love that show because I can relate to some of the people where they pick. If you ever saw my dads various places you would know exactly what I mean and they have contacted my dad a couple of times about coming to pick his place but he won't let them come. The picked a guy I know not to far from us a while back so it was great to see them at a place I had been to. (if you are a fan of the show it was the place where the guy makes all the wind vanes from various bits of scrap).

I think Mike and Frank just took that whole episode that was mentioned in stride. They just seem to like any people who like the same sort so things they do and are interested in preserving history. Of course they are still in it to make a profit and we all know that but we all also know what they say about if you are doing something you love its never a job.
