I have been published in various magizines and publucations over the years. I have been published in the Ham Radio "QST", A defunct Color Computer Mag 'Rainbow", American Medical Association, Cardiovascular Review, NASA Tech Brief mag, and a host of other publucations. Then last friday I get my first issue of the "Mirror". The Mirror is the National mag for Tri-Ess. I'm sitting there reading various articles and turn the page, start reading a article and OMG  , Thats MY ARTICLE. One of my posting here on this and another forum is in the "Mirror". No matter how many articles I write and are published, I still get the OMG feeling when I see it in print. Usually I find out before hand that an article of mine is being published, but this time it was a total surprise.
I think a good part of the OMG feeling, is you have to reconize how many people submit articles to a National Publucation and they select yours to publish.
I also have to admit, that I did not even submit this one. One of my Tri-Ess sisters asked me if she could submit for me. I said, "Yes, go ahead". Not expcting that the very next issue, it would show up.

Congrats JoAnne.

I've been published in WordPerfect magazine. I don't think they publish it anymore, though.

Copngratulations, JoAnn, that speaks well for your talents!!! We are all proud of you!

I have been published as well, well not in writing, once in a while my picture shows up in the local post offices titled: "Have you seen this broad?" It is usually next to Jeannie's picture which says: "Don't wanta see this broad!"

Fame is so fleeting!

Congratulations again

Virginia

PS: for those who -- well -- it a joke!!!!

Wonderful, Jo Ann. I see one of our members is the cover girl on the new Mirror...and congrats to her also...hugs. A few years ago my friend had a story in the Mirror about our Disney trip...it was so neat to read it..so i know what you mean. Oh...and I had some dry technical aviation things published myself.......but still a charge to see what you write in a publication. So, save that issue...and I'm looking for your article later tonight. Would have read it earlier...but I'm a terrible housekeeper and misplaced the magazine...sigh.

Congratulations, Dallas! It's great being a member of this Forum and always get a sense of pleasure and delight when I read (in the Mirror) where a gal I've seen on the Forum is also published there. Have been very fortunate in that over the years I've had a number of articles published but the credit here goes to Barb Van Horn , our editor of the Wild Rose of the Chesapeake, who does the editing and publishing for us. There are a good number of unsung heroines out there supporting all of us. Congrats again!

JoAnn, I just read your article and it was nice :) Glad you enjoyed yourself, and isn't it amazing how most people just don't care? Of course you have to be careful where you go by yourself, but thats a common sense thing. Thanks for pointing it out to us...love to see one of our gals in print
