As silly as this sounds, lipstick can easily be removed.
Just brush your teeth and run the brush around your lips once or twice, all gone.
I've never tried this with deep red though.

I know this has already been mentioned but it deserves another. Noxzema is the perfect makeup remover. I use it every night just apply as a mask and leave it for 5 minutes and then wash off. Love this stuff it removes concealer, foundation, powder, eyebrow pencil. AND a definite plus for me it also removed all traces of my pigment heavy, lip staining NYC lipstick.
One wears a mask for so long you forget who you are beneath it......I've now removed my mask.

Alexia,

Your first post suggested that you need to completely change in a moments time if someone knocks on the door. Sorry honey, that ain't going to happen. Either pretend you're not home, (turn the music down) or dress at a different time.

All the products mentioned so far work well. It does makes a difference on which make up products you are using and your own complexion. A really fast scrub will make red marks and not fool anyone.
Make up takes time to apply and should last for the time intended to be out at what ever event. Make up also takes time to remove properly.
Cheap baby wipes work well for 90% of most make up products.

Eileen. I so completely agree with you. When not going out and just dressing,
I leave the makeup alone.. (like now)
