Barefooted in Pumps/Boots
Question: how many like to wear their pumps or boots with no hose or nylons on? I really enjoy that feel. Am I alone on this? Thanks

Just because it is a 'Hollyweird' Fashion Trend does not mean that one must follow it.
Personally, I can't stand wearing heels/pumps/boots without the appropriate hosiery or socks . . . I don't like the feeling of my foot sticking to the shoes/boots.
If one wants to be barefoot, wear sandals or flip-flops . . . and don't ever wear socks with sandals!

Re: Barefooted in Pumps/Boots
I tend to agree with you SL. Personally I am not comfortable wearing any closed show without some form of hosiery. Granted with my Nikes that may be low cut socks or trouser socks with flats but for pumps it is definitely sheer hose or tights. I have been know just to pull on a pair of socks with boots, particularly when wearing them with slacks or a long skirt but my foot is covered.
Sandals on the other hand, well that is another story. I have and probably will again wear pantyhose with dressy sandals with a skirt or dress although I do not care for the look, Depends on the weather but generally I go without hose when I wear those. Yes I tried the "toeless" hose and found them very uncomfortable, Also they only work with certain styles of sandals and even then one has to keep an eye on the as the can slip and look very strange.

Remember Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did only she did it backwards and in high heels!

The only foot wear I wear bare footed are house slippers. I do not wear sandals anyway, nor flip flops. Bare foot in boots? The suggestion is uncomfortable to think about.

I have to go with the majority here, shoes or boots need some form of hosiery or socks to be comfortable. Yes I do go without hose in sandals and most wedges for casual but for more formal events I wear hose. Yes it may be a bit of my age showing, 65, but the comfort issue is my driving reason.

Thank you all for weighing in.......suppose I am in the minority on this one. Don't get me wrong, I wear hose with boots/pumps.....but still like that bare feel in them too......

Ok... Think I'm somewhere in the middle on this. The glow of nicely tanned and well moisturized legs in heels is really sexy IMO. I mean come on girls, why spend all that money on ultra shear pantyhose to try and simulate a bear leg? With that said I would still wear peds if the shoe style permitted but not with a strappy heels.

Re: Barefooted in Pumps/Boots
I personally prefer tights or pantyhose to bare legs, but I agree that sometimes that's a bit overdoing it. So on occasions when I don't want to wear hosiery, then I'll wear just a shoe liner and a shoe that covers it completely. This is perfect for pumps with capris when trouser socks are too short and pantyhose is too formal. But I think most people would go with ankle socks and sneakers in that situation.
I don't get the idea of wearing boots with no socks or stockings of any sort. It seems like one's feet would get all sticky and uncomfortable. Not to mention blistered. I think one of the nice things about boots is that you can wear nice thick fluffy comfortable socks, and nobody has to know. I hate the feeling of bare feet in shoes, I'd rather go barefoot.
To Alisa's point, if I had nicely tanned, well moisturized beautiful legs then I probably wouldn't wear pantyhose either. But I need all the help I can get.
