Interesting link, Alisa, though I must disagree. Attraction to the classic hour glass figure is not like a drug, it's genetic. A latent gene found in most men identified by the letters HRNY. This gene emerges sometime during puberty and remains dominant well past it's usefulness. :)

You all want more noticeable hips, but what shape hips? I still can't see how that much padding could be comfortable to wear. But women wear all kinds of uncomfortable clothing and shoes to please the admirer.

I think both men and women are fascinated with the hourglass figure. Men love looking at them and women want one, at least at one time or another in their life. While fashion and other media outlets put forth the hourglass figure as nirvana the reality is most women are far from it. I have been told I have a nice figure and for an old lady of 62 I think I do as well but is far from hourglass! To me it is more making the best of what you have rather than trying to achieve that mythical 38-33-36.

As far as prominent and mommy tummies why is it those who have them don't want them and all the girls here who don't have them desire them?

I prefer heart shaped hips http://www.byrdie.com/butt-workouts-for ... utt-shape/ but probably only achieve something like the round shape with padding (misses size large). The commercially available padding that I use is really quite comfortable and everything stays in place nicely with either control top pantyhose or thigh slimming shape wear.

Cute link Alisa. I too would love the heart shaped tushie but to be honest I will take whatever I end up with. I do like the fact I can somewhat fill out my slacks and jeans without my Love My Bubbles now!

As for padding being uncomfortable, well it can be but so can an underwire bra or killer heels after a few hours. To paraphrase what Alisa said:

Well let's see now. The classic hour glass figure refers to measurements where the bust and hips are close to the same with the waist being smaller. OK, but what measurements are desirable?
The 38-33-36 Diana mentioned seems rather petite for most of you gals, and myself. Yah, my hour glass holds more than an hour.

The padding husband uses is to add inches to the hips as well as the butt. She doesn't wear tight clothing or jeans, filling out a skirt is the objective. Since the padded garment's waist band is losing the elastic and slips down, she's shopping for a new set. (Set? Butt? Pair?)

We anticipate a girls night together so maybe I'll ask what shape/size he admires as a male and what would she like to have to wear.
Looking at Alisa's butt workout link, my shape is both Heart and inverted V, that's a lot of padding to keep in place.

Giggle... For one I'm, what one might say, a more voluptuous girl! 45-34-45... not petite at all!

I use a Veronica II from classic Curves but Glamour Boutique has some great options.

Giggle... Eileen you sound like such a great girlfriend! Not sure how to respond to this otherwise. :-k

Okay girl friend just post a picture in your best form fitting outfit (giggle I like tight jeans) and let us decide your shape.

Oh no Alisa, I won't be goaded into posting my butt on this or any forum. Plus, I don't have any 'best form fitting outfit'.

We had a girl's evening, killing time and killing wine. Her butt is also a Veronica and doesn't fit quite right. With extra foam padding added in, his skinny man hips of 40" turn into 45" lady looking hips.

His preference is hips wider at the top and ample butt. "Wide hips make it easier to hold a baby" !! ??Good thing the wine bottle wasn't quite empty!

Her objective is to look body wise as a mature woman and draw less attention to her large hands and not very pretty face. I think she's very passable except maybe in full daylight.

Giggle.... you're no fun. Okay... I get it GG's don't need the affirmation that picture posts often provide. #-o

Your best girl is soooo lucky. Hope she appreciates you!

Hum... that's a surprise! Espy usually does such a great job fitting...

Giggle... I thought you were a nice person but I'm not sure if that comment is a dig or not. :-k

Dear Alisa,

I am enjoying this topic! Like it or not, our basic urges are to seek a suitable mate to reproduce with. However, there is little agreement to what is a perfect male or female body, thank goodness.

We do enjoy a 'girls' night' a couple times a month and get to watch shows that I like. :)
It is easier to hold a baby on larger hips, but to hear it said as an attractive feature of womanhood?
Good Lordy, I was offended (pissed off, remember we were drinking ) till I realized the comment is true.

Her Veronica originally fit well, 20 years ago, yet she still wanted to pad up further than what was provided. If the waist band held up better, I think it looks pretty good. She looks like a mature woman and less like a guy dressing as one.

Mature woman can be sexy? You bet!
